2016 X1 Front Brake Calipers

Hey folks,

So I just upgraded my pads and rotors, and now I have a caliper that is (semi) stuck and needs replacing. No problem, right? Well, there appears to be a complete lack of aftermarket for them, and literally every single shop around me (Madison, WI) has nothing in stock and will have to order them from halfway around the country. The local BMW dealership here (the only one) wants $1,000 for PARTS. Not happening.

My question - I know the X1 shares a lot of components withe Mini (countryman, I think) so I'm curious if anyone knows if that includes the brakes as well? Also curious where some of you may have sourced your brake calipers instead of dealing with the stealership.

Thanks!

Seems way too early for a caliper to have problems.
Try these guys, I recently sourced a front right spindle w/hub (for some R&D work we're doing) off a 2017 X1 so I know they have parts.

And getbmwparts.com has front and rear calipers for ~300$ each.

I just paid about $750 at dealer for front pads and rotors replacement. They wanted $960 and I was able to negotiate it down a little. An indy shop would have been more like $600 though. Not sure what the actual calipers would have cost had those needed replaced.
