Durian actually tastes alright, you just have to be able to stand the smell of it.

At family gatherings, I am an outcast because I am Filipino yet I can't stand the sight/smell of these claimed-to-be "foods".

I hated them while growing up. They always had a strange flavour. Kinda bitter as I recall. And smelly! I think it was the brand, though. They had a breaded coating and I like the ones available today with the battered coating. I have a hankering for some fish and chips now, thank-you very much.
