We may have a problem then. I just saw Chris R. and re-assured me that I am still #1 on MW list.

Yea, the 5+ hours I drove back from the dealership was MUCH more comfortable in the M2 than the 3 hours in the M3 CP seats. Much.

edit - I'm not sure how seats get more comfortable the faster you drive. But if that is some magic that works for you, then so be it!

The M3/M4 CP seat bolsters hurt my legs. I will stick with the regular M2 seats in the M2 Comp.

I just wish the standard seats had better leather than Dakota. If they want Napa as a reason for you to buy an M3/4 at least offer the seats with Vernasca leather.

I'm actually on the list at two dealerships... I'm giving local BMW dealerships short term interest free loans... #1or2 at one dealership and # 3 at a larger volume dealer. I figured between the two, I will get one?

I’ve been on the list for over a year now on an M2 Compeition. Number 1 and MSRP pricing in writing and deposit given.

I was burnt by a well known dealer of these boards when I originally wanted to purchase a ‘17 M2. Being extra cautious now.

I'm #1 at BMW of Sterling, I created the list over a year ago. But they can be shady at times and like to charge mark-ups. It seems they would rather make an extra few thousand in one sale than keep a customer for life. Sales managers can be so short sighted. I also wonder if the owner knows what his sales managers are doing.

So I'm also on the list at BMW of Fairfax which guaranteed MSRP.

+1 for Fairfax. If you're into the whole track scene, I think I know who your contact there is.

3 settings each for Steering and Engine.

Non-adjustable suspension is standard on the M3/4 yet they still get the buttons. It makes sense to me.

1 and 2 driving mode buttons on the steering wheel: you'll be surprised.
I sure hope you're right. That would be amazing.
Tag, at the German BMW enthusiasts forum 2erTalk someone reported yesterday the following info (gotten from someone who has recently test driven the M2 Competition):
"415hp, M side mirrors standard, upgraded suspension and brakes standard, M steering wheel with memory possibility as on the M3/M4, sitting a bit lower than the current model, front end M4 derived, optional strengthened bigger brakes (€1.5k extra) M seats with perforated leather and with opening also optional (no price set yet).
Price DCT model: €8-10k extra according to current info."

(source: 2erTalk)
That looks like a confirmation that the M2 Competition steering wheel will feature the 1 and 2 driving mode buttons.

Doesn't 415PS convert to about 409HP?

Nice find! That 415hp figure is a bit puzzling. All the leaked VINs for USA Competition or EU CS say 302kW:405hp.

Very nice find indeed!

Now we need some leaked pics of the new front end!

I'm eager to learn more about the upgraded suspension. That's something many of us suspected, but really didn't have any leads on. Curious to see which direction they went in. Seems like more and more info is leaking leading up to the reveal which can't come soon enough.

AFAIK all M2 Competition VINs indicate 302kw = 410hp EUR = 405hp USA.
