Hi everyone,

First time posting my X2 F39 (also have an e39) just a few days ago got the yellow lamin-x film installed. think it adds something to the front of the car even with the led foglights see image. X2 also has IND front and rear Reflector delete for non M sport

Just a question on the foglight tint.. does it even shine yellow at all or just look yellow on the lens.

I was thinking about doing this way back as this is my default color on fog lights. Though I hadn't done it. Why? No reason really, probably because the stock fogs are not hella bright where I could just drive with them with yellow lighting.

Anyhoo - would like to see the result yellow color/beam shot on a wall at a distance. Maybe that would poke me enough to spend the little bit of money and laminate the fogs.

Most of what I read is that the yellow tint doesn't work well especially when driven with powerful lights...

I recently swapped some bulbs out for and uncle in his Sienna for yellow LED lights and the visibility at night is astonishing. I'm not complaining about the X2 with it's LED lights which are awesome. I did have a few nights with heavy fog and the fog lights didn't help a lot, but I'm thinking if it was really a low freq yellow beam it would have cut through the fog/illuminated things better than the white.

Remember that yellow lenses or yellow film are really just a filter that lets yellow light through, i.e. it blocks the rest of the spectrum. So, the light is dimmer overall.

Yellow improves perceived contrast to the human eye, and is less dazzling to oncoming traffic, so those components of the light do work ok. Not so much for actually illuminating things.

A true-yellow bulb color is definitely the way to go, if possible.

If I could find some nice yellow LED fogs that would match nice to my bumper I would probably do it.... but I'm not looking that hard, and I certainly haven't seen anything I like. I definitely do understand optics since I deal with that for my work

What lights did you use? The lower yellow ones are the stock signals though right?
