Safe to say 0 - 60 would be 4.8 - 4.7. So...I'm starting to think it has more than 302 hp...
BMW is always under-rating the power.

I went back and forth with an sti the other day, both on the interstate and side road. When we pulled up to a light he said “man, that things fast!” I asked him if he was stock, he said no. We were toe to toe with acceleration from a standstill and I probably had the advantage on the interstate.

OK review, but the background scenery is amazing - from New Zealand.

That is a good review. This car is very under appreciated, not sure why.

Has anyone else had a problem with the seatbelt height in the front?

I haven't noticed it and I am 5'11" and not quite as large

I will say I echo the reviewer's sentiments, the car is a blast to drive. I haven't tried launch control yet but I have driven it a bit fast at times. Plus on a recent road trip by behaving I got 32.5 mpg
Overall really like the car

Man, I hate the way people have been attacking this car. I started out my driving life with a 1977 Camaro rally sport. I sold it to my buddy and bought a 1987 Shelby charger turbo. Loved that car and went on to own many front drive dodge turbos until one day getting the itch for more rear drive V8 action after seeing (and hearing) a 5.0 mustang leave a stoplight. My Mustang love continues to this day but I havenÂ’t had one for a while now. I sold mine to buy a new 2007 335i with premium and sport. I had done everything to my stang... kenne bell supercharger with all the goodies, auto to five speed conversion, 4 lug to 5 lug conversion, drums in back to 4 wheel disc. You name it. But it was too nice to drive as it rains so much in Florida. I hated doing all the detailing only to have it ruined the next day. I also had an 01 GT and my ex wife had a 94 GT and an 01 Audi S4. Ended up trading my 335i for a 13 X3 and my daughter was soo sad. When I went from that to a GTI she was more like mad! I ended up full circle by trading my second car, a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a hemi that I lifted with mud terrains for a 2008 335i identical to my 07 and all was well with the world! Still have it and itÂ’s for sale as I just picked up a 19 X2 M35i. I love BMWÂ’s and I love everything about this car. IÂ’m obviously not platform limited in my mindset like a lot of the haters. At 51 IÂ’m not looking to slide around corners anymore or spend my Friday nights drag racing. Been there done all that. I just donÂ’t get why people hate... BMW still makes rear drive 6 cylinders and I get why people like them. I have one! With twin turbos! But damn, that doesnÂ’t make everything else a waste.. Even my daughter likes it! Lol. But the only person she wants me to sell my 335 to is her!

That guy is absolutely wrong about the zf not jerking in sport.

Also isn’t sport + just a shortcut to traction control off?

He's a true petrol head. Can't accept the fact that there are people who will never track their 'sporty car' and that BMW is willing to design a vehicle to target this demographic.

I think he was so pissed that he didn't care to fact-check his review.

The guy (AutoTop NL) is definitely something of a douche but he does have one valid point in his question "Who is this car for"? It's pretty much a niche vehicle.

I think fundamentally it's for attracting new BMW buyers. The transverse M-tuned 4cyl is off-putting to the traditionalist. Everything about it is appealing to me though.

I have one, love it. more than my 2013 335X with a stick. for me it meets most of my needs, blast to drive, has a practical side, and did I mention it is fast . just got back from M Track event in New York, first time on a track. had a fantastic time. bottom line yes the M4 is a phenomenal car but the M35 is also great. most of us don't track our cars. I really like the car. I highly recommend at least driving one. don't blame me if you buy it

I hauled 8 8’ boards in mine the other day. They literally went from the hatch to the dash, but they fit. Made this door out of them.
