Opinions on Tiffany's CT60?

Anyone have any experience? Tried on a CT60 Chrono the other day and loved it. Retailed at $12k in the store. Truly beautiful piece IMO

Just used the "Drop a hint" feature to send this to my fiance lol.

you could get a much better branded watch for that price with a better movement.

Any suggestions? I've never bought a watch at this price point, mostly just curiosity at the moment

CT60 not familiar with it before this post, but great looking chrono, it's the rose gold that pumps up the price. the steel price seems reasonable.
Anyone else not like Rose Gold? I'd rather have White gold then Rose, the added weight of gold is why White Gold is better then stainless steel.

A watch that would be a tough choice to pass up for the Tiffany is the new IWC Ingenieur Chrono Sport in titanium. but then yellow or white gold over titanium I fully understand.

I think it looks nice but wouldn't buy one. Does Tiffany actually make the watch? With that said, it's still Tiffany and has a limited run. It could be appreciate over time. But at $12K, you have a lot of choices, so it's up to you.

I never buy jewelry brands including Burberry, Gucci, Cartier and Bvlgari. I know some will consider Cartier a proper watch but if it doesn't have an in house made engine I couldn't care less. Therefore in my books a Rado (even though cheaper than a Cartier by a lot) has more value than any of those "boutique" made watches. That's my opinion and I am open to any criticism about this.

Like the design looks like a eBay watch... luxury wanna be kinda look... once you take that Tiffany out of the door, its value dropped at least 1/2.......

Since you asked for opinions, I'll bite.

It certainly is a beautiful watch. that's for sure. One of my "grail" watches is either a branded Tiffany/Rolex or a Tiffany/Omega, but on the rare occasion they come up for sale, they are astronomical in price and hard to tell if genuine. ....But... at this price there are a TON of others that I'd buy first, starting with in agreement with ScottSinger about the IWC Ingenieur Chromo Sport

It's beautiful though, usually I know when it's "the one" regardless of what others think, and I am never sorry I got what I got.

I wouldn't spend money on a Tiffany watch. If your Willing to spend a few thousand, go buy yourself a timepiece that's made by a reputable watch company.

Tiffany is the first watch maker in the US, and they're still one of the most reputable watch producers on the planet.

because most people don't understand the difference between a fashion watch and a reputable watch maker. fashion watches will always sell more because they're cheaper.

not this particular one, but I put it in the fashion watch category that isn't worth what they want for it. nice watch though.

Tiffany & Co. pre-dates Rolex in watch making by 45 years

The complete Tiffany Timepiece line underwent a redesign, inside and out before the CT60 was released. The Ct60 now uses La-Joux Perret (hublot, Tag, Panerai) and Selitta (Bvlgari, Omega) now that Swatch Group has pulled back on the ETA movements. The watches are made in a swiss factory not far from Patek Phillippe, a Tiffany collaborator since 1853. The watch will not lose 1/2 the value after purchase. In fact it will appreciate due to Brand and rarity(17,000 total watches produced 2016)

Matticus91, If you are truly interested in a CT60, send me and email.

I would counter and point to the fact that many Cartier watches do have an in house movement these days, for a me a Cartier watch is a proper watch.

You cannot compare Gucci/Burberry time pieces to Cartier whatsoever, possibly the worlds finest jeweller and responsible for creating one of the first modern wrist watches.

There are also plenty of "in house" movements that aren't as "in house" as you may think.

at 12k you have to many better options. Used AP, rolex, breguet, iwc etc

you can pick up a pre owned gold panerai as well. i think a lot of watch people would think "why that" when they see a tiffany on your wrist. even at 12-15k, its not a watch that impresses me. there are better options at 5k, let alone 12k

pffft. if you have taste, than you should probably have smarts too. a "douchy" watch person will be able to tell you that this is money poorly spent. you could probably get a $100 watch that looks just like it if that's all you're after, that's money well spent.

like i said before, it's a nice watch, if you want to spend that much on a rose gold watch, there are plenty of other options out there that are better value as far as purchasing and resale goes.
