There are two part numbers listed for the loading sill cover on the ETK.CC site.

51477331417 - weighs about 0.5kg, costs about $25
51477413689 - weighs about 1kg, costs about $80

I'm guessing the first one is plastic, and the second is the metal one. But I can't find images of the two parts to compare. There was some discussion earlier in this thread (post #12).

I hope this might help someone else out, but before I picked up my new UK-spec (right-hand drive) car I ordered a pair of genuine rear rubber mats from a company that ships from Germany (Genuine Autoparts). The part numbers for the rear mats listed on the ETK.CC site show them as being for left-hand drive cars, but it turns out that they are not specific to one or the other. They fitted perfectly in my right-hand drive X1

There are three different parts listed for rear mats, the difference being the colour of the X1 badge at the edge:

Black badge - Basic - 51472365856
Black and red badge - Sport - 51472365857
Black and silver badge - xLine - 51472365858

They are genuine BMW rear all-weather mats, and cost me £41.04 delivered. I didn't want to fork out the £92 for the full set as I really only wanted the additional floor protection in the rear, hence the need to order from outside the UK as they weren't even listed in my local BMW parts place.

Anyway, I hope this information might be of use to someone Here's the part numbers from the ETK.CC site. I imagine it's a different story with the front mats, as I'm sure they will be "steering side specific"...

I ordered mine from my local dealer. All black front and rear as a single purchase was the only available option at the time. Switched back to velour for the driver, as I absolutely hated how slippery the rubber ones are when wet.

Weathertech is the only non-OEM brand I can recommend. Perfect fit and durable. But it's pricey. There are cheaper generic brands available on eBay. It all depends on how much you want to pay and what your expectations are in terms of looks, durability, snug fit, etc.

I bought the genuine BMW liner for the xLine (so the badge was black and silver) from my local dealer, who had to order it in from Germany. It cost about £77 all in I think. Fits nicely, doesn't move around due to the velcro pads underneath, and it has a rim all the way around to try and keep the mess in the tray. Be aware that there are different part numbers for the badge colour combinations, and for whether you have the sliding rear bench or not...

IME BMW OEM kit tend to use better materials.

The boot liner is a prime example as are the rubber floor mats.

I've used the rubber mats since day one, they're not slippy at all now ;-)

I've just finished installing a pair of Thule square roof bars to clamp our old roofbox onto for a short break away. The U-clamps were only about 42mm across, so the Thule Wingbar was too wide and it had to be the square bars...

In case anyone needs any part details, they are as follows:

• Thule 769 square load bars - 127cm long (a pair of them in the pack), these did not come with any end caps when purchased new from Amazon (£34.99)
• Thule Kit 4023 clamps for the X1 flush roof rails (4 of them in a pack) - these also fit older X3, X5 and some 3 Series and 5 Series estates. I bought them second-hand on eBay (£28)
• Thule 753 low-profile foot kit (4 of them in a pack) - these are lockable and included the square bar end caps when purchased new on eBay (£52)

I hope that may be useful to someone If required I could post up a picture tomorrow when the sun's up.

They are not the most attractive or aerodynamic accessory, so they will be coming off after the holiday...
