It'll be built in Leipzig and will be ED-able.
Great! Thanks for that!

Thank you for that! I'm going to place an order for one as soon as ordering opens, and it's great to get a head start on seeing the color and trim choices. I'm thinking X-line in Alpine White with Canberra Beige/Fineline wood. You can also see the standard X-line 18" wheels (all BMW's photos show the nicer-looking optional 19-inchers).

Configurator in German is working on bmw.lu (Luxembourg), if that's easier to read than Dutch. Not up on bmw.de, .at, or .ch yet.

I'm also going for xline, but probably in a dark color scheme, with brown leather as well. 18" wheels don't look too bad actually ! I suspect optional equipment packages' pricing is incorrect on belgium configurator...

They need to have SOMETHING to "fix" in a few years when it's time for F48 LCI.

No, definitely it's built in Leipzig according to the production schedule on another site.

What we have here then is really a KIA.
Well, since the Porsche 997-iteration of the 911 and the Porsche Cayenne both use an Aisin transmission, what we have here is also akin to a PORSCHE too.

I see the addition of space for a donut spare as BMW admitting they screwed-up.

Ha, just like there's a spot for a clutch pedal, you'll never get either in the US.

From the press release: The all new BMW X1 offers standard 18-inch run-flat all-season tires with non-run-flat all seasons and a space saver spare available as a no-cost option for the first time.

I know, I was shocked too. I just wish they had an option of hydraulic steering.

Is that the US or International press release?

I can't read it on my iPhone, so I overlooked it. I suppose that's the Mini impact as they've been available both ways.

Wait, Mini impact? The Countryman doesn't have space for a donut spare.
