…but it won't be viewed that way because the rules are different when you're down for their cause.

They will act like fools over the next 1-5 days and then blame law enforcement for having to respond and deal with their criminal behavior. In my area, Gascon will not prosecute any of them and their bad behavior will have been rewarded……..without consequence nor accountability.

I hear you! Suggestion heeded. If I feel like crap tomorrow I will have to stay home. The last thing I need is to deploy to riots/protests at less than 100% and get caught off guard by something or someone I would've normally neutralized.

For example….

This officer was extremely vigilant and quick on the draw. Any hesitation and he might not have gone home to his family that day.

Holy stuff - that happened extremely fast. I don't know if I could've caught that. And even if I did, thinking of that possibility day in, day out - that's a lot of mental stress...

It's stressful for sure. The moment you get any amount of non-compliance, your mind goes there and you start preparing for the worst.

This kid was stalling, exactly like what was being described, but you saw, as soon as he made a move, the kids legs were dancing. He was definitely getting stung on that one. I'm surprised he walked around to the back, and stayed standing, unless he knew there was no one else in the truck, he could have easily gotten hit, through that back window, by another passenger.

My speculation - and what the body-worn camera doesn't show - is the officer was already standing at the door and could fully see into the cab of the truck. He knew there was only a sole occupant. Shooting at the suspect through the rear glass as he retreated toward concealment was the best approach in order to maintain visual contact and avoiding giving up too much ground. I think the first few shots tagged the suspect through the open driver's side door.

He definitely wasn't getting out. I think he got hit more than a few times, if you see those legs dancing. That's what I definitely think with him knowing how many occupants were in the truck.

We have a MILO at work, and it's geared more toward my job, and I'm not a beat cop. My guys are already in cuffs.

MILO is a very helpful training tool. We have one at my patrol station and there's one at the academy as well. What do you do exactly?

That's probably all we can do is lend a hand. You guys have much more righteous riot gear. Our stuff is tailored for cell entries, and yard fights.

The guys who responded were the equivalent of a SWAT team. I'm not sure what that segment of your personnel is called, but they deployed to our stations in tactical riot gear and were armed with rifles. They took strategic positions to ensure we had eyes in every direction and that we could "reach out and touch" a threat if necessary. Their assistance freed up our patrol units to handle the ground insurgency.

It became CHP's handle once they entered the freeway. I'm sure Southern Division is on high alert.

I surveyed 10 women today over the Roe v. Wade issue and it's perplexing to me the fact that none of the 10 women surveyed understand the ruling. All of them responded with, "It should be my right. Why should I be forced to have a baby?!?"……or some derivative of that (…see the attached screenshots). It seems like even Alito's plain English opinion is lost on people who run on emotions. Logic and reason continues to take a back seat to emotion.
