Auto start/stop delete?

Hello, just added a 2020 X2 XDrive to the stable on previous Models, pressing the ASS button turns it off indefinitely. However, these newer models will only turn of ASS for the duration of the car running. When it restarts, ASS is active again. Is this something that can be fixed? I have ICarly but I’m afraid to use it because the cars under warranty. Has any checked this feature with iCarly? Thanks

I use BimmerCode but yeah, just shut it off. Dealer will most often recode every time you come back n for update but you can just redo it.

I just did mine again today after they recoded bmc while in for warranty.

I used Bimmercode on my 2020 X2 sDrive to do it as well. If I remember correctly, it was changed to remember OFF by default and Memory function (to ask setting) as active.

My wife is the primary driver of it and was annoyed by it, as my previous M3 and current X3M by default memories the last setting.

I also believe that if you put it in sport mode, it bypasses/turns off the ASS as well.

That was one of the first things I did with bimmercode, as well turning off the annnoying seat belt chime and having it always start in sport mode. Love that app.

They won’t care, just expect to redo it every time you go to the dealer.

Icarly used to be what I was going to get, but they changed to a subscription based purchase so I went with bimmercode. They are all in effective very similar, saves a bunch of time using your laptop and getting all the right software etc to run it.

I got iCarly before the subscription BS. But if bimmercode is easy to use from my iPhone, I may get that too

Hey, I looked up bimmercode and it requires In-App purchases. I’ve got 3 Cars that would be coded. How much would that cost?
What are you all spending, approximately, with this app?

I've never bought anything in app.. didn't think there was an option to do anything. Still.. if you have icarly working, it would be redundant to use bimmercode unless there was some option you didn't already have.

You can use it over and over on different cars without having to do anything.. I am sure I've used it on at least 6 BMW's by now.

Same, just paid the one time price to buy it, no need for IAPs.

That's the IAP it mentions, bimmercode is provided as a free app to demo with on iOS , you have to pay to unlock the features.

If I recall it was around 30-35, one time purchase. I bought some apple gift cards, loaded them to my brand new just for this purpose apple account and bought the software, first and so far only app I have ever purchased (I am a cheap SOB sometimes, except for cars of course) IMHO well worth it. On my 2013 I did the free stuff through Shawn S and a lot of help from the community, this is much easier, and I even bought a cable for the do it through the computer way, inexpensive OBDII bluetooth dongle and away you go.

Good luck
