M4 Arriving need winter setup

Hey Forum,
New to the M4 family.
I getting an M4 this week and i am in
NYC and these roads and potholes are nuts.
I need some help in regards to a great wheel, tire setup.
Suggestion on what i should run do 18x18 front and rears.
I'd prefer a little extra rubber for some cushion.
Thank you in advance.

I just had the BMW Winter wheel and tire package installed. 18'' 640M wheels with Continentals. The wheels look almost identical to the 18'' standard wheel (except a bit lighter in color) and the tires make you feel much more confident with more cushion.

Appreciate the input, which continental tires are you using for your setup?

Continental Winter Contact TS830P (255/40/18 all around)

These are also the tires that come with the BMW Winter wheel / tire setup.

I called a few dealerships and most quoted me ~$2,800 (storage and labor included).

The Apex EC7 18x9.5 et 22 have been a really popular mover for us. Tires we normally use are 255/40/18 Blizzaks. That has been our most popular winter setup.

I really like my Axis Model Twos in 19x8.5 square setup. Comfortable over the crappy NY roads and I think they look awesome. I couldn't get the center caps off so I didn't repost better pics yet, but you can get the idea here: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...axis+model+two

They were great in the snow last week.

I am seriously loving up my BBS SRs with Michelin PA4 winters.

They have been great on bad roads, snow, ice, etc, and (with some spacers) look pretty damn good....

All said and done I got them for $2400 with the wheels and TPMS stuff from tire rack. At the time that was over $500 cheaper then I was being quoted by the local dealers for the OEM winter setup, and I really liked the darker grey color of the wheels too. I might try and get the center caps off again today lol, I'm such a numnuts for not having put the BMW caps on when I had the damn wheels off!

I sold my E92 M3, but my winter wheels are still in my posession.
They are 18" Sport Edition A7s with Blizzak LM-60s on them.

Does anybody know if they would fit on M4?

OP, they were great. I drove my M3 to Stratton mountain on snow & ice covered roads; the car was predictive, and easy to drive.

Also, I have the winter and tire insurance provided by BMW. If i was to swap the two rear tires with a set of blizzacks or my tire preference for the summer, how does that affect the tire & wheel warranty on the car?

I was told that the insurance only applies to BMW OEM rims. That was part of the reason that I went with the 640M package. I'm in NYC too and I think 18s are a good choice... Like you said, there are potholes everywhere and the extra tire height helps.
