07 Z4 Front Blinker Bulb Type?
Can anyone tell me what kind of bulbs the Z4 uses for the front blinkers? I can see the amber egg yolk through my clears and I want to swap them out. I removed the far left one with a phillips screw driver as it says in the manual and I found a clear mini bayonet bulb however the amber bulb was still in there. Not quite sure what that one does, does the front blinkers use the mini bayonet paired with a orange cover plate? Thanks

Been there already....
It's NOT the bulbs, they're clear. It's an amber reflector behind the bulb. If you REALY want to fix it you have to take them apart to get at the reflectors. I know one guy that had it done. He didn't do it himself though, so didn't have much info.

Doh, that sucks. I was afraid it would be like that. Oh well, guess I will just have to live with it. At least I got the wedge bulb sidemarker changed out. Thanks for solving my dilmma
EDIT: For sake of not starting another thread do you know what BMW used for the Angel Eyes in the Z4 high beam rings? In the E39 they used an H8 bulb which could be changed out for a LED option for a different color/brightness. Does the Z4 also follow this? I couldn't find ANY information on the AngelEyes in the manual or on RealOEM.com it dosn't even show the angel eyes on the headlight schematics. |
