Finally found some reasonably priced wiper blades that actually fit the weird X2 wiper arm.

And the blade itself: https://www.amazon.com/AUTOHAUX-325m.../dp/B081SQ6S27 Apparently there is some cross over from the Audi A3 and Q5. |

Wow. Didn’t know maintenance transferred on used non CPO cars. I’m back at the place that handled the recall for the car’s second oil change (8600 miles) and the guy says it’s covered and we’ll change your engine and cabin filters as well. Then he asked me if my wipers squeak while shaking his head up and down and I said yes so he said they’ll change all those out as well.

I didn't know that wipers are covered under the maintenance plan.

My ‘09 E90 had wipers covered back in the day. I bought my ‘18 F33 used in 2018 and nothing was covered.
I’m not complaining. I already ordered wipers and filters and was going to change them when I got home but I guess I have spares now. |

one of the reasons I got extended maintenance on my lease was for wipers, already had them changed twice. I know the pros and cons, I had plans for more driving and brakes too but that isn't going to happen on this lease.

Can't remember if I said it here.. but on my yearly oil change/first maintenance the wipers were not covered under warranty and I got completely robbed. I asked the price and I think he said it was $60 so I said is it any different if I include it or buy it from the parts department and he said no. They charged something like $25 for installation and $5 for disposal fees.. I was pissed and he "apologized" that he didn't mention these extra charges...

FYI
The amazon blades both front and rear perform about 80% as good as OEM when initially used. After a few times they seem to get broken in and work good enough to repeat buy like I already did for just in case. |
