Help locating TMAP sensor to install JB Plus

Recently bought a JB Plus piggy-back tuner for my 2020 X1. Fairly sure this is the B46 engine (might be B48, not positive).

Does anyone know where the TMAP sensor is located on this engine?

Page 2 and 3 of their installation guide note "For BMW X1 and MINI B48 models the sensor is under the air tube which must first be removed by removing two 10mm bolts."

I have no idea where said air tube and bolts are, I imagine near the red circle around the charge pipe... Any assistance is appreciated!

The TMAP sensor is located beneath the air snorkels (air intake snorkels) in the front. Remove that and you will see it.

Ended up finding it but yes, that is exactly where it was. Thank you!

Initial reaction to the JB plus... eh Feels like I lost torque lower in the RPMs. Will look for a B46 dyno map later to confirm or deny this.

Give it a few miles. Might need some adaptations. I had the JB+. Better than Dinan, but ran into some problems with manifold pressure/TMap sensor error once in a while. Switched to ECU flash and never looked back. Broad power/TQ delivery from 2000 rpm to redline. I think ECU flash is the way to go, in my experience.

Spot on... I'm about 100 miles in at this point but would say after 20-30 miles everything changed.

The power and torque delivery at 2k rpms is incredible compared to stock. Onboard MPG has fallen about 0.5mpg but I attribute that to more spirited driving on my end.

Will say a prayer for my charge pipe but I've read that was mostly squared away on the B48

Charge pipe will allow your turbo to spool a bit quicker, thus more responsive during partial throttle acceleration. Not a huge difference compared to software upgrade, but contributes to overall engine performance. I think you will be satisfied with it, but not OMG satisfied
