Better get all of the baseball bats, tire iron, kitchen knives, hunting knives, lamps, rolling pins, golf clubs....out of your house...'cause sounds like you have some serious anger issues...

lol... I thought you were James Bond for a second.
My father has a PPK, minus the silencer. Its a nice little gun, but I would rather have a 9mm personally since the rounds are a hell of a lot cheaper.

I dig it nice. We already have a gun owner thread. I want to pick up a new sidearm.

I got held up a few times and 1 of the times I had my my gun in the front of my pants. But I couldnt do anything with the barrel of a shotgun pointing at your face. Its very intimidating. I got pistol whipped one time when I refused to give them my wallet. lolz. But without owning a gun I dont think I could go to work everyday. I have 2 S&W 9mm I bought back in 1998. I plan on buying more when I go back into the business.

im not flaming or judging....i just dont get it?....what is the fascination in guns?
I live in vancouver, canada and I really dont know a single person with a gun. is it really that bad in the US or in certain states that your safety in your own home is at risk to the point where you need to arm yourself? maybe it's just me being naive... my intent is not to judge those who bare arms.....just dont understand what the fascination in guns....that is all!

No, not owned. You never put your finger on the trigger unless you are ready to shoot the weapon, ever. Why?
1. Treat every weapon as if were loaded (even if you know otherwise). 2. Never point a weapon at anything you don't intend to shoot. 3. Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you're ready to fire. 4. Keep the weapon on safe until you're ready to fire. If you can't follow those basic rules at all times, you have no business owning or handling a weapon. Proper weapons storage/maintenance should also be a prerequisite IMO. Anyhow, nice weapon. EDIT: I'll also add that of the three methods of carrying a handgun (tactial, alert, ready) the only one that involves pointing the muzzle at anything other than the ground or the sky is the ready carry. The ready carry basically means that it's inevitable that your going to have to discharge the weapon. Last edited by radix; 11-26-2008 at 01:14 AM.. |

Exactly, I sincerely HOPE I never have to use any of my weapon(s) in self-defense. My guns stay locked up for the most part except when I go to the range. |

if someone broke into my house, i think i would get more pleasure in beating the shit out of him with knees to the nuts and rain elbows upon his face. 15 yrs ago when i had a 69 mustang and i caught the fucker who broke my window and was in the process of going through my glove box....i slammed the door on his legs about 5 times...dragged his ass out of the car and started to pound on his fucking head. I wonder what would happen if i had a gun in the house.....kinda glad I dont because i would of shot the guy...beating the shit of someone who deserves it....I can justify....shooting and killing someone....tough to deal with...but hard to say as i never been in that predicament. well.....let the flaming begin! cheers, shig

I would actually enjoy a good beat down myself, however the odds of someone who breaks into your house that is carrying a gun themselves are probably pretty good. I myself have a 1911, a Colt officers 45 (4 1/4" barrel) and a few SW. All but one are securely locked up. I always keep one very close by. I'll tell you one activity that I like to do where I will NEVER be without a gun is camping or hiking (I guess that's 2!). There's nothing worse then being 10 miles out on a 20 mile hike and coming accross a couple of drug crazed hippies looking to enslave you making their backwoods swill. Kind of like in "Deliverance".
