Does anyone else find it humorous when members go out of their way to say it's their "wife's" car? "My wife's lease is up" "shopping for my wife's car". Does it really even need to be said if it is true? Sorry I'm in complete charge of my masculinity as a 53 year old male. I'm an automotive enthusiast and I could have chosen many different vehicles as my daily driver and I chose MY X2 because I love it! It's not my wife's car, it's my car! Don't get me wrong she loves driving it too, but I bought it for me! Sorry I just had to say it because I read some of these posts about "my wife's" car and think, well why the hell isn't she on this forum then? And for all the ladies that are here and proud of their X2, GOD bless you!

Haha I love the way you put it.. I like to say "wife's car" because if there are more questions about daily driving it etc, I don't actually do all the daily driving. I suppose it's also extra flex if I just say I own XXX cars all to myself. But in reality once in a blue moon I am troubleshooting something .. ie the other day my wife said "by the way the service car and yellow triangle has been beeping at me for the last month". Haha. Thankfully it was the inspection sticker reminder...... I also do get onto the other forums for help/advice for both my brother and my father's car and I certainly also do not want to say it's "my car"

You took that photo using your wife's camera though, didn't you?

What difference does it make? Your car, wife's car...whatever! It is what you are driving. Enjoy,

I've never said that unless I'm actually driving my wife's car. Then again, no one's ever said something as ridiculous to me about driving a "girl's car" either. Probably because I'm a 6' 2", 200 lbs Jamaican dude; maybe it's just not an argument they want to get into.

Funny enough, I've acquired all 3 of my Bimmers to date essentially "for US"...she drives them once or twice and then's like "nah this is more you". The previous rides I had that she liked the most? My MKV & MKVI GTI's and the MKVI Golf R I had right before I moved on to BMW. Because they were all manuals.

Interestingly enough, I really wanted a 2020 Golf R but I couldn't get past the looks! We have a dog and travel so I need a hatchback or SUV! Had an X3 35i but she was getting long in the tooth! Saw the new M35i last year and thought it was perfect but there are so few that I wasn't holding my breath in finding a used one! Low and behold the owners of our local BMW dealership turned theirs in and "right place right time" finally worked out for me! Love my car!

I made a move a bit earlier than I had planned with my M35i; we were scheduled to move to Dallas from San Diego when C-19 began shutting things down, and I decided to end my F30 lease early...test drove an M340i and X340i, but did not dig the passive damper setup at all on either.

My dealer got the X2 in and on a whim, I took it for a ride and the rest was history. I actually went back nda drove them all again to make sure I wasn't crazy, then tested a JCW Countryman with adaptive dampers to make sure I wasn't missing out on them on the X2.

Same results...picked up the X2 end of March.. Drove it 1300 miles to TX and it was perfectly set up.

We just call the X2 “our car“ my wife also has a smart for two convertible and that’s still called our car too.

Nice wheels By the way.

Is there a chance anybody saying that find the car looks too feminine? My wife fell in love with it on the first sight in the showroom, I found it beautiful too, then she let me made the final decision.
I wouldn't call it my wife's car, but she loves it more than I do even she abandoned driving years ago.

FWIW, I never noticed that and I'm one call it my wife's car because it is. Nothing more, nothing less... She's the primary driver of the X2 and I'm the primary driver of my car. If I was the primary driver of the X2, I wouldn't have any issue saying it was mine. I played a factor in her finally going with BMW along with me (she's been a loyal Toyota/Lexus owner) and thats probabl why we ended up with the X2 over the X1, let alone going with an M Sport X as well.
