Dimmed angel eyes when using turn signal?
Hello,
Is there a way to keep the full power of angel eyes when the turn signal is active? When I use turn signals angel eyes are dimmed. I tried looking at codes, but everything that starts with BLINKEN is already at 100% |

I don’t recall this happening on my x1 but the x2 seems to shut that side off completely.

I know everything is done for a reason, yet we still customize our vehicles.
Anyone figured this out yet? Quote:

Honestly I think it's a complete waste of time to bother trying to code it out, after all it is a safety regulation and... I'm in the car when I'm signalling anyways, so it could be rainbow colored for all I could tell. I understand wanting to customize it to some level though. Be a true BMW a-hole and don't use your turn signals! Haha. |

Both the x1 and x2 dim when the turn signal is activated. This use due to its roots with MINI. No other BMWs do this, the halos stay at full brightness. The x1 and x2 stay all full brightness when the headlights are turned on also.
The jalopnick article fails to note this rule isn't adhered to as many makes have DRLs, turn signals and headlights in the same housing and the DRLS do not deactivate when the signal is activated. It seems to be a manufactures preference. As an example, Honda does not deactivate their DRLs nor does BMW when the turn signal is activated. Exception being the x1/x2s that dim as noted here. |
