X2 side extension blades question

Just wondering if anybody as fitted any body mods to their X2?
In particularly side extension blades?

I moved to the X2 from a 4 series which looked good with them on (well I thought it did)

Doesn't look like BMW do anything , come across some after market ones.

If Anyone has, did you have any problems fitting or afterwards? Any photos you could share would be great too.

Thinking of adding them in white this time to match? (Tried to tweak on the only picture I have on my phone to see what it would look like)

Hmm very interesting... I was actually looking at a front splitter before the side splitters. My fear, as with all the side splitters, is that it sticks out too much and will be stepped on/ rubbed on pants getting out. I think the greatest chance of damage is when the kids get out of the car, already they are small and short enough that they put their weight on the factory body moulding. I could see my 50 lb kid step right on the side splitter and snap something off!

Haven’t done the on an X2 (at least not yet) but I’ve done them on an X3MC and I think they’re great. (I’ll post a pic if you want to see) The MaxtonDesign ones you posted are made and fit really really well... I’m considering them for the X2 now as well.

Oh geez.. I see they make a front splitter now... this is not good, I have an itchy trigger finger now.

Too bad this is a UK company that is going to be backed up for months.. I just buzzed through many websites to see about getting this to USA and it seems it'll be a little pricey (close to $400 USD) but everywhere is predicting 3-4 months at least.. I might just have to lay low for a while to see how everything pans out. Do send pictures when you get them!

I bought parts for my X3MC from the UK site back in June and it came in about 2 weeks. Not sure if anything may be different now, but FWIW, I was impressed with the shipping/delivery time.

They have arrived Today at last...

Just had to have a quick look and roughly hold one in place with a large paper roll.

Should have them on tomorrow.

Dang that does look pretty nice. If you could also take a picture with the door open looking down to see how much it sticks out further from the body panel that would be awesome.

WillPwr, all the websites on the front lip already say it'll be 3-4 months delayed.. I think their production line has halted for now.

Looks good so far! I wasn't as creative as you were in mocking up a desk fitment on my X3M....I kept trying to find the right size boxes and then just ended up using my floorjack

FWIW, if this one for the X2 is like how they did the X3 one, it's fairly subtle in terms of how far out it sticks out.

Oh, wow! I better put in the order now then haha...we've had the car for less than a week and I'm tempted to mod it more then she expected LOL. Decisions, decisions on going with the textured or gloss black since her car is an M Sport X with the grey panels, but also has the gloss black trims too.
