Hi guys. So i own a 2006 530xi with a build date 10/2005. I have an opportunity to buy a 2009 e60 m sport steering wheel. Will it be a straight swap with mine? I know i will need an airbag because its different, but will the 09 steering wheel fit 06?

Nope, won't fit. mounting arrangement on the back of the wheel is different. I had an E60, pre-LCI like you. steering wheel options are limited, your best bet is to find a sport wheel on Ebay from a pre-LCI car.

I have pre lci m sport steering wheel from 2004 E60 and when I have tried to install it it doesn’t fit.. even tho it’s looks the same in the back and it’s has the same plug.. I heard that you need to swap the steering wheel hub from the non m steering wheel is that possible? My car is also 2004 with non m steering wheel
