This happened twice to me this morning.

I was waiting at traffic lights and the auto stop/start engaged, so the engine is switched off and the rev counter moves to zero revs.

On moving forward after a few seconds, neutral gear is engaged by the auto box, the engine starts revving to no avail.

Then drive is engaged and the car moves off as normal.

Technician had a look this evening and couldn't find anything in the diagnostics, so booking the car in for an inspection tomorrow.

Has anyone else experienced this fault?

What year is your car manufactured? 2016 models seem to have various transmission issues.

The car was purchased in March 2018, but my order was placed in January.
