Bavsound Audio Upgrade
I am new to these forums, but I wanted to share and/or exchange experiences about perhaps the wisest upgrade that I have made to my E90- I do not frequently comment on products , but the difference that upgrading my factory speakers to the Bavsound stage one and ghost under seat subs is unbelievable, and worth every penny! They have a top notch support group as well. If you demand audio perfection but don't want to modify your car, this is the way to do it. If you have any questions, or similar experiences, please ask and share. I am also a coding trainer for Carly for BMW, and can answer many questions if you are interested in coding using WIFI adapter and iOS.

Is this upgrade more suited for vehicles not equipped with Logic 7/HiFi? Or is there a significant difference between the aforementioned factory equipped "upgrades" as well?
Also, price? |

I think the " Carly Trainer" title is about promoting their product ( go figure) but I can get discounts on their hardware and really do know some tricks after hours of goofing around with it.
I believe these also fit the logic series, but I have the Hi Fi standard ("BMW professional") and can say the difference is insane. Speaker sets average $497, but every time I have ordered they were running a promotion so sometimes 50-100 bucks off. Their install tool kit is cool too- they offer it for free sometimes and I use it for all sorts of stuff when working on the car http://www.bavsound.com |

Well you should vist the stereo sub forum
Well you should vist the stereo sub forum
Where people have been doing all kinds of stereo mods to these cars since they came out. http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=27 There are now numerous drop in kits for speakers for these cars and several company's re marketing the Helix 82 dsp with a tune and a harness that makes it pnp. Unfortunately the Helix won't work with the L7 at least so far nobody has offered a solution for it.(well a simple one anyway) (because of the fiberoptic interface between the amp and idrive or head unit)(unless you use speaker outs or a very expensive fiberoptic to analog pre amp) My understanding of the Carly coding is they only offer canned codes. Is this still correct? For instance you still can not change the VO codes if you retrofit USB or a newer radio in an older car. Not that what there doing isn't neat and valuable for most people. There is a coding sub forum and many other useful sub forums here as well. http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=368 http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16 http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=378 BMW stereo types http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=352586 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1266451970 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1260829447 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=343673 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138949 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1209780605 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323 http://bmwcoders.com/forum/3-er-8/bm...1-e92-e93-291/ http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1209780865 http://technicpnp.com/menuDiagrams/d...e90_92_93.html electical e90 pdf http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...,d.cGU&cad=rja http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU http://www.musicarnw.com/page-2/ http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...4&d=1278871872 Last edited by ctuna; 12-29-2015 at 04:32 PM.. |
