wheel / offset recommendations

For whatever reason, haven't seen too many threads/photos of non-oem wheels for the X2.

Just picked up a new X2 and not a fan of the stretched tire look.
However due to the way the fenders are shaped, doesn't seem like there are too many options before the wheels start to poke.

Hoping to go 245 or 255/40 on 19x8 or 8.5

But on a possible alternate note, will 18" wheels even clear the rotors on the m35i?
Haven't measured yet myself, but have read some articles noting 18" rotors in front??

Trying to avoid 20" wheels to keep the ride relatively comfortable.

Any suggestions on wheels and ideal offset would be appreciated!

I can't answer your question, but FWIW I have 20s with Pirelli PZero runflats (not by choice; bought the car off the lot) and the ride is not bad at all. I was really expecting a harsh ride, but I'm pretty impressed. That said, I will probably look for 19s when these tires wear out; probably on stock BMW 19" rims.

I bought these wheels as a winter set and the offeset was in the mid 30s...(cant remember exactly, maybe 35) and a 18x8 width. It did not come off a X1/X2 platform so the offset was on the more aggressive end for this car.

A tiny bit of poke but I think it looks pretty good. Gives the car a wider stance. Obviously if I were custom ordering wheels I would have gone for a little more offset, especially on the rear.

thanks for the photos! does look pretty decent - was thinking ET in the 30's would push it out more than what you have.
But that rear quarter panel is hard to match on the x2 - how it narrows out into the bumper.

yeah it sucks that the rear gets narrow towards the end.

I think the stock (I have 20s) were 7.5 wide and +52 offset. These aftermarket wheels are a little wider which helps it not poke too much. The fronts I think are great. Stock is pretty sunken in.
