TRACK ADDICTS BE ADVISED - you have to "delete" the sunroof from the factory if helmet headroom is needed.

Currently I'm looking at:

Space gray
Oyster or chestnut leather
Sport with 18" wheel option (I love the m-sport wheels but am not crazy about the bodykit)
Cold weather
Comfort access
Logic7
*Maybe* nav and park distance

Am I missing anything?
If you have it in your current car, you'll miss it if you don't have it in the next car. If you don't have it now, you won't miss it on the next car.

I would have to agree 100% if we really stick to MUST haves. For me, ZSP and 6MT outweigh all other options/choices including color (interior and exterior), iDrive, ZPP, CA, Logic 7 etc....

Now, I love having my iDrive, ZPP, and Logic 7....but they are definitely not MUST haves to me. They are just nice bonuses

If you have iDrive, this is the most useful option for this, or any other, car. If you drive daily and park on the streets, or in tightly-lined parking garages, PDC is a bumper-scraping, curbed wheel-rash savior. The visual cues on the navigation screen that aid in front and rear are unbeatable.

As a bonus, the sonar "beeping" goes to the front stereo speakers; and, using a different tone, sends the beeping to the back speakers for objects close to the rear bumper, so you can hear warning from both ends of the car at the same time.

Kind of a crappy picture. But you get the idea. (Front of the car is on the left, with objects extremely close to the front bumper.)

I consider my Sports package, Premium package, Comfort Access, iDrive, Smartphone and heated seats as all "must haves". In addition, I'm kinda regretting not getting the Logic7.
It's a $50K car, I want as many options as I can, I intend to have this car for a long time, I want it as nice as I can get it.

I wouldn't buy a car without comfort access, or 6MT. The Cold weather package is necessary, even here in Phoenix, for the fold-down seats. If you are getting a coupe, then you already have them. The new nav is awesome, and for me it's a "must have" (even my 2008 iDrive was a must have), but not for everybody.

I know what you mean about the PDC. It is definitely a life saver. Did you not have time to order the car?

If you can deal with an E92, iS w/DCT.
For E90, ZMP.

I try to go as bare-bones as possible. Most options are overpriced, add weight, reduce reliability, and have marginal resale value. I prefer to upgrade the car -- get a bare bones M3 or Cayman rather than a loaded E92. Or a bare bones 335 over a loaded 328.
