Looking for a roof spoiler
Hi everyone,
I am new to the Bmw X2 world. I’ve made a few modifications lowered a bit and a quick tune. Now I’m interested in seeing if I can add a rear aero spoiler, something similar to the Mercedes AMG GLA. I am quite a fan of the style of the AMG GLA and the M series X2 ended up a bit bland for me. I have seen some 1 series spoilers but I’m not sure about fitment. If anyone has seen any rear roof spoilers that fit I’d be grateful for a link! Thanks ahead |

AC Schnitzer, 3DDesign and Maxton Design have add on spoilers for the X2 (all great options), but they do require the M Sport spoiler as the shape has additional contours on it. Last I check, the spoiler is about $400 unpainted (it was only a $150 option at time of ordering a build though - but I don't believe many dealers built inventory with that the option. But if you find anything else, I'd like to check it out too...

I’ve found basically the exact same stuff you’ve found unfortunately. I have gone a bit farther and asked a few body shops about modifying or mounting an F40 M135i aero roof spoiler. Particularly this one ( https://autoid.co/products/m-performance-rear-spoiler-for-bmw-m135i-2020-f40 ) they’ve quoted about 200$ to have it installed and about 400 if I used a similar GLA one I’ve found for 100$. I will keep searching but I may end up going this route. Hopefully it helps you out a bit too.

Another option, though I havent really put any real thought into it are universal smaller lip style ones for the stock spoiler. Not ideal, but it would achieve my initial goal of a look like how the Maxton Design add on lip would be without spending on the factory M spoiler and paint for it.

I’m not a fan of the small lip style either. I am trying more for the m135i style. I like the aggressive spoiler. I am curious to see if overseas people have had any interesting ideas they seem to have more modifications and options than in the US

The only other aggressive spoilers I've run into are the below two for the F48 X1. These are more reliant on the curvature of the F48's stock spoiler so you are probably better off going with the F40 one given its 2 post pedal style mounting as it would be an easier custom application...at least in my opinion.
https://www.aliexpress.com/i/4000055497943.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33027270587.html I do like your concept if using the F40 M135i...it's really intriguing. One thing that I did notice is that in the pics that M performance spoiler mounts to the M135i spoiler which is a raised profile like the M spoiler from the M35i (vs the flatter/lower one stock on our F39s). Not sure if that will matter or not consider it would be a custom mounting anyways, but just noticed that. Good luck!
