We’ve been experiencing some cold weather recently down to -4c. Last week I got into the car, drove to work and couldn’t open the door to get out. The door handle was stiff. I had to climb to the passengers side and climb out there.

Later that day the temperature rose to 2c and it opened fine.

A few days later the temperature was -3c and the same thing happened.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any idea what is causing the mechanism to freeze solid?
