Someone looking at a rav4 isn't cross-shopping a BMW SUV.

So across the GM spectrum then about 9 or 10 SUVs in all formats?
Don't forget the European GM models too?

China will be getting an X1L an extended wheelbase of the new X1, which will be built in China along with the standard X1.
Gm makes the SAME SUV just badged different and different front and rear. Not saying it's a good thing but it's a limited run of SUVs. A Tahoe, Yukon, and escalade are the same just different appearance packages really. BMW is going crazy to look for niches that don't exist.

So xDrive only? But that is not full time AWD, is it? What wheels are driven when AWD isn't engaged? For example, in a 335xi, where the AWD is not full time. It only engages when it detects loss of traction at front wheels.

I find it comical and rather saddening that almost half the posts in this thread are complaining that the X2 will be FWD. What ever happened to good old reading? Oh well..., more power to the rest of us.

That has yet to be disclosed.

More likely it will be front biased xDrive

xDrive is a full time system

They are being built on Mini platforms.

Quite obvious they will be front wheel biased.

So you'd think, it depends on what system they use and how the system is programmed.

To me it's not a BMW unless it has xDrive
