Aftermarket wheel thread

After doing much searching, I haven't found a decent aftermarket wheel thread, so here we go. Let's see all of your aftermarket wheel setups. Please include wheel specs including diameter, width, offset, and brand and model. I'll be in the market soon for wheels for my 2018 EB X1 Msport, so let's go!

There is something I just don't like about the look of the car and I think it's the wheels. I am currently looking for wheels that I might like on the X1, that's why I've started this thread. I think it needs larger wheels and I definitely need to fill that gap in the wheel wells.

So I think I've just figured out what it is that I don't like about the look of the car. In addition to the wheels, it's the body colored wheel arches. I seem to much prefer the black wheel arches of the non-Msport cars....

Agreed. For me it’s the fact that the stock wheels are withdrawn into the wheel wells, are skinny and should be on a minimum 18” rim.

If anyone has pics of their aftermarket wheels, please post them here.

While you wait for responses... Proper has aftermarket wheels (I think 20") https://f48.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1611638. You can also see a lot photos of other wheel options on the Photo thread: https://f48.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1203549, but the models aren't always stated.

Hope to see more people post pics here because I've been debating a second set of wheels myself!

Personally I think this car could be a couple inches lower but at the same time as someone who goes to the mountains often, I appreciate the clearance for snow.

They look good. I like those wheels. I think I'd have to go up a tire size though. There's so much wheel gap on these car's.

I doubt there are any springs on the market that will lower it just 1" and not sure I'd want to make the ride any stiffer for the DD. I'm definitely not investing in a set of coilovers for a car I don't even like. Cheapest way is to just go up a size on the profile, since I'd be buying tires for a set of wheels anyways.

There are springs: http://www.hrsprings.com/pr/detail/hr-sport-springs-for-bmw-x1-f48

Way cheaper than wheels and probably a much softer ride than 20” wheels.

I'm doing wheels regardless because I absolutely hate the way the OEM wheels look on the car. I may check out those H&R sports though. I guess I was thinking H&R race springs as my brain automatically went to a 2" drop.

Going up in size won't change the overall rolling diameter of the wheel, unless you go with a tire that's not the correct size. Vehicle needs to be lowered to close fender gap, has nothing to do with wheel or tire sizes. Also, this is a mini SUV/CUV, you should have bought a car or wagon if you wanted something lower.

Love the x1 so far. But can’t help but think the overall wheel/ tire diameter is very small for current times. Throws the aesthetic off imo.

“Rolling diameter” of many other small crossovers are much bigger.

I’m currently on stock 18” 569 rims w non run flat continental dws 235 /50 /18

Debating going 19 “ rims and increasing the width , 245/
/45 19

So many post holes in the city tho:/
