Audi US sales:

2016: 210,213
3017: 226,511
2018: 223,323

So its sales declined in 2018

On the other hand, BMW sales slightly increased in 2018 as did Mercedes.

Ultimately, the question is would the sales go higher or lower if the design were different. There is no way to answer that question.

I don't have a problem, per se, with a larger grill. My problem is when the grill becomes tasteless. The versions of the new 4 series that I have seen are garish, not just large.
