Indeed there is a map update, but how do you decide between East and West? Does anyone know what country is included in each version?

Sorry, I have not seen any info on what countries are covered. I am using West for the UK but I suspect Romania MAY be East. On the last update I did download both East and West versions (but only used West)

For sure Romania is on East, but I travel a lot in Europe, so there may be a problem. Although I think each version contains less or more detail for the designated area, but covers all countries for the main routes.

Hi Beagler, once you've got EUROPE Way 2020-1 unpacked and on a USB stick, how long does it take to update the car itself please? The download and unpacking alone took most of an afternoon......very slow compared to downloading and installing new all Europe maps on my Garmin.

Went for a ride shopping and I think it had updated within 15mins.

OTA updates depend on region, model year, iDrive version, all sorts of things.
