What is that best way to clean up my 320d exhaust? Lots of baked on black specs on it. Cheers for your help

Autosol on a bit of brillo or wire wool to clean it up, then repeat weekly with autosol on a microfibre.

+1 on the Autosol, got a tube from halfrauds for £5 and used it with a green pan scourer to get the worst of the crap off then gave it a polish with a rag.

Amazed at the outcome, wasn't expecting it to work so well.

do all 320d not have DPFs then?

but DPFs can fail and clog up though.

Autosol with old toothbrush to see how you go, but if like other smoker E9X BMWs I've seen, you will need more than that so try super fine (grade 0) wire wool, or maybe brillo pad if you don't have the wool.

Failing that, use a dremel type rotary tool with wire wheel attachment and it will shift the burnt spots and real hard carbonation etc no problem.

Be prepared for hand application to take a frikkin age or use the dremel tool and it will take about an hour max.

Cut it off, go to your nearest Powerflow dealer and get a 330 double pipe fitted.

How BMW ever thought that downward spout was befitting of a 30k car I will never know. The oval pipe is hardly any better.

Every model should have left the factory with the 6 cylinder exhaust tip imo.
