Anybody received their new car?

I am supposed to receive my car by mid/end of October, so I am wondering if BMW has delivered the new x1 to any of its customers...

Mine is scheduled for week 44. But my dealer said it'd be week 42 when I called a few days ago for a different issue. Might have been a slip of the tongue. I would presume that they normally get in touch a week or so before delivery to give customers time to prepare and arrange payment, insurance, etc. But I have not yet received any communications confirming that it'd be two weeks early.

Not holding my breath to be honest. A couple of weeks early or late is not a big deal.

I live in the UK, by the way.

Mine has been built yesterday, can't wait ;-)

Does anybody know how long does it normally takes to get the newly built car to the dealership ? (in France).

Mine was built 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting!!! Last update was that the car passed quality control and is now waiting for shipping. I guess from the day the car is built, it needs about 1 month to arrive! However, in your case, I think it will be faster because no shipping is involved! For me in Cyprus, I have to wait for the ship... did you get your VIN number? I am still waiting for my dealer to send it to me

Very neat tool! Thanks a lot.

It looks like my vehicle was built less than 250 miles from my door step which is pretty cool.

The production date shows 0001-01-01. Does anyone know exactly what that means? I assume it means the car isn't fully built and off the production floor yet.

I think it means production has not started (or completed) yet. I had the same value before it changed to the actual date yesterday.

Yes. Got it 2 weeks ago. Bimmer.work did not list it until last week or so with a dummy production date which changes to the real one yesterday. Bmw should really consider giving a view on the build process and statuses as they do in the us, I'd really enjoy that!

I totally agree with you - we are living in a digital world and I think BMW should adapt to that. We should be updated on the whole process from order to delivery! I have sent my dealer 3 messages until now requesting the VIN number with no reply!

Anyone know when to expect the vehicles on dealer lots? I have a strange situation where I need a vehicle within 5 weeks. I'd hate to have to forgo this bad boy.

My fiancée's car arrived tonight. Our diagnostic computers hadn't been updated for the new X1 yet so it couldn't be taken out of transport mode. Service contacted BMW and were told the update would definitely be out overnight / tomorrow morning. She'll be bringing it home tomorrow!

Congrats!

Please post more photos if you have time, especially the interior, since many of the photos of X1's on the internet appear be Euro-spec models.

Speaking about Euro Spec models, can anybody confirm what this means?

230 EU SPECIFIC ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT

I received my VIN number but when I checked it, I found that the following options are not mentioned in the list of options:

- Media package (radio + bluetooth)
- Rain sensor/auto headlights
- Servotronic

does anybody know if these options come as standard on the European version of the x1?

Thanks!
