sparkplugs at 45K
So i bought my car in September 2019 with 43k Im at 50k brought it to a dealership closer to where i live for an oil change. The service advisor is saying this car needs sparkplug and typically the x1 require them at 45k. I dont see anywhere that X1 requires spark plugs at 45k everything that i see shows 60k. When i mentioned why would a different dealership sell me a car with 43k and not replace the spark plugs if they are required at 45 since the original dealership mentioned that they completed all services for the 50k at the time of purchase. Does this seem right?

Sounds a bit off.. at the same time you can always just wait until 60K. If you get misfiring then spark plugs would really be the first place to look. I just don't see it being a really big deal either way. If they are just trying to strum up business and you aren't going to DIY I wouldn't bother. If it was cheap enough I wouldn't necessarily mind doing it, just wouldn't lose any sleep. You can always call the original dealership and ask what they did for service and their opinions on it.

I've got 79k+ on my '16 and just asked my local Indy shop which plugs they would recommend for it, the response was either the Beru (preferred) or the NGK, nothing else. I'm going to put the Berus in, they worked the best in my daughter's R60 Countryman where the NGKs did not.
