Something wrong with rear pads

Both the rear pads have this rust like spot on it. I've never seen this in any of my other cars. What is this? And is this normal?

Any braking issues? Weird noises? Vibration in pedal? Pulling left to right? Scoring in the rotor face? If all seems normal, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Definitely monitor for any changes in driving, handling and performance.

It looks like buildup of surface rust and brake dust that gets scrubbed off rotors after a rainstorm or car wash. I know BMWs are known to produce more brake dust than other cars.

My car is new, will BMW replace this in warranty?

You’ll be lucky. As has been said this is the surface rust from the cast Iron disc which has no rust protection on the braking surface. The little protection on the disc hub will gradually diminish and turn rusty. Just look at other cars a couple of years old.

Brake discs, and backplates are service items and will not be replaced because of corrosion unless you have a very sympathetic dealer.

There are companies that will treat callipers, backplates and discs with paint coatings but obviously not the disc braking surface.
