Is a TCU needed with a MULF2

Hi,

What is the score with the TCU bluetooth modules.... are they needed with a MULF2?

I'm pretty sure before retrofitting my combox, I only had a MULF2 for bluetooth - so why do some cars have both?

Cheers

because mulf2 does not support telematic functions (sos button, etc)
and if they are required then tcu used for bluetooth and telematics and mulf2high for usb audio
