ODB port power question
I've been using a bluetooth dongle in mine as it gives very useful information in real time to my phone (Using Torque app).
Question is when I leave it plugged in it continues to flash away even when the car is shutdown and locked. Should I remove it each night? I doubt it'll drain the battery flat as it won't draw much current but I'm curious about the port and the way it appears to remains on. Can anyone shed any light on this please? Cheers |

Something like this...
http://m.alibaba.com/product/5846625...r_Male_to.html And pit your own switch in. The Gucci way would be to remove either can low or high, pin 6 or 14 I think and wire in your own kill switch and with a button on your dash. |

thanks for the info. I've been leaving it in with no ill effect so far. I'm trying to find a few PIDS to see if I can activate things on the car from the phone as I can connect to the ECU from inside the house leaving it connected. If I find a way it'll be getting removed
