2009 328i oil temperature
I finally got rid of my old IS 300 and bought a 09 328i 2 weeks ago. AWESOME car, but my oil gauge was tripping me out today, please advise if this is normal. I'm from So Cal, South bay area, temperature went up to mid 90's today and my engine oil went past half mark and went to near 260-265after i drove it for about 30 mins. Considering i have less than 200 miles on my car and i didn't even have my AC on, is that normal? No warning signs came on but still getting me paranoid. Is this something i should get it check immediatley with the dealership? it went back to normal temp after about 5 mins. SOMEONE PLEASE ADVISE. Also, does 07 and 08 models not have a engine oil temp gauge?

From what I've gathered so far, the N52 is a very hot engine so it'll run hotter than most other engines. Now, if you're not getting and warning lamps or anything, it isn't much of an issue. Just drive and Enjoy the rides, besides, if anything goes from, that's what the warranty is for

You also don't have to worry about HPFP failure.
