Android Auto support
I see that BMW is finally offering better support for Android phones. Based on what I've seen, that may only be available to owners with iDrive 7.0. Is that correct and, if so, does that mean none of the 2019's will be able to use that upgrade?

So far that is the company line, and I can't see them backporting it to older units, but it would be nice to see them change their mind, heck we don't have full screen Carplay yet in the ENTRYNAV units.

Strictly an ID7 thing. AA won't be available for ID6 equipped vehicles sadly

Bad on me for not researching when I bought the car, but $19,000 Hyundais have better Android support than my X2....
I thought they would ultimately fix that. I guess not.

I have to admit that BMW is pretty underwhelming when it comes to carplay and android auto support. I travel quite often and have yet to rent a car that didn't support both using the full screen.
