I commented on BMW's Instagram about how the grills were upside down and they posted the next few pictures with the car upside down and tagged me. Nice to see they have a sense of humour but I think it doesn't look quite BMW with those kidney grills.

Amen haha.

Even though its required it certain states to have front plates.
There is no law that says they must mount it
True, in Texas, it's the law, but dealers usually just require you to sign a form acknowledging that you don't care and they'll leave it off. Never run one in TX or CA and only had a handful of tickets for it.

I like it a lot. It is quite beautiful. I much prefer this cutting edge design over the X1.

I don't get it. Who buys these small coupe-ish SUVs? Plus, doesn't this just take sales away from Mini?

If I wanted small, and fun to drive, with a bit of utility...I'd get a GTI, or Golf R.

Well considering half the planet doesn't actually trust VW any longer you might be able to answer your own question.

The concept looked ok but it has been all downhill from there. Most people will think it is a Kia or Hyundai

Actually looks nice in white, especially with the CR interior... still hate the side badges though.

I hate it. So much so...hoping they remove it in the LCI by the latest.

It's a stamped in recess on a welded D Pillar. It isn't going anywhere.

Wouldn't surprise me to see them on the next 4er too, and eventually on just about everything. They started slapping Active Hybrid badges on the C Pillar of 3ers and 5ers years ago.

My GTI is perfect for my kid, dog, bikes, skis, you know, pretty much what they tell you SUV's are for.

Pretty sure it has more room than our E84 did too.

I used to feel like that too. Hated SUVs. Would never buy one. Then I evolved, bought an X1. With the extra room it is more comfortable but the best feature is the height which allows me to see what is going on in traffic ahead of me. It’s not much in the handling department but I have another vehicle for that.

So is this where the U.S. ///M-Sport steering wheels are going instead of into the X3? That's messed up.

It's for those who really want a BMW badge. I leased my daughter a Kia Sportage that's bigger than the X2, cost way less, 10yr warranty and a 5star rating and mimics the look of a Cayenne to a degree. Why would anyone buy/lease the X2? See sentence #1 above. Maybe i'll just buy a couple of those pillar badges and slap them on the side of the Kia..lol
