Thanks Bill. That'll give me an excuse to play with the car this weekend...

cheers

Hi. So I couldn't fit plugs under the pedal, but I could under the console panel. See how I stuffed it. Then wrapped it with soft Velcro for more of an OEM look, and end state.

Tried on the weekend but still couldn't fit the plug under the pedal. There just wasn't any space under the pedal...

I'll try that next, but I think the panel on the right of my accelerator pedal is too tight as it also has the bonnet release, etc (remembering mine is right-hand drive)

cheers

Just got mine last night and put it in this morning. Things are great as other people have mentioned. I'm on orange setting right now and I might keep it that way. I noticed on the highway with the higher settings it was causing the car to shift a lot more on the higher sensitivities. Turning from a dead stop is improved. Going up the parking garage after stopping to turn on every level is much much better.

I looked under the pedal and it didn't seem like there was tons of space to cram the second plug. Afterall, the single plug itself is exposed on the side of the pedal, so the second plug is just squashed snug beside it.. although it does look a teeny bit cleaner to put it under the trim as Xcelir8BMW did so I might go back and push it in. I was thinking of routing the box into the driver's side cubby hole but for now it is just kicking around in the cupholder so I can adjust it. I did notice when I parked the car there was a faint light on.. guess the gas pedal doesn't go to sleep right away. (it was sort of white ish but definitely not orange like I had it set to).

Couple side notes... the T30 is rather large, so my go to screwdriver set that I use to take most of the other bolts off did not have a large enough bit, so I had to go with another special set of torx I had. Second note.. my plug was actually really tightly held on the wire to the plastic clip area, so I had to put my head really far in there to unhook it (couldn't do it blindly with my finger it was tight). On all the videos it didn't look like anyone had their wire tucked into the pedal so I was a little surprised. And a complaint.. boy that little screw is crusty ugly and I've only had this car for 5 or 6 months and 5K miles on it with zero snow/salt.

Took my BMS pedal tuner out of the car before sending the car in to get the dealer to check about the lag/lack of power. They couldn't find anything wrong.

Funny enough when they lent me an identical car (20si petrol turbo with DSG), it felt less laggy and more powerful than mine...

Anyway, now I'm back driving my car without the pedal tuner...and wondering whether I should put it back. I can't remember what gains I got from it..and that's only after 4 days!!

So if I do decide to put it back in, do I need to 'calibrate' the pedal tuner again?

cheers

Long term testing, I still am very happy with this product. Since I am the only driver and always drive in sport, I have since stuffed/hid the control unit accordingly. I don't adjust the settings anymore. Factory stock looking.

I might have my unit up for sale as now I am on the JB4 platform and the tuning seems to have somewhat mitigated the issue.

Please PM me if you are interested.

So I decided to keep the Pedal Tuner. See I actually haven't tried it with the JB4, and I didn't think it could hurt. I could always keep it on mode white, stock if I wanted to.

With that being said, I just literally completed an under 1-hour project to reinstall it and be a bit stealth but useable. See pix.

I instantly remembered why I liked it when I reinstalled. It makes driving in comfort possible.

I drove today, Stage 1 Green, and was very surprised but happy how well the car performed with a JB4 on map 2.

Very transformative! No herky jerky.
