Squeaking Noise on left turn
Hello folks, I am noticing some squeaking sounds on my 2016 X1 when doing left turns. Doesn't come all the time but it happens now and then, doesn't squeak on right turn or at least I haven't noticed so far. Car has almost 130k Kms. Anyone experienced the same issue? Wondering what might be causing it.
Thanks! |

How long has it been going on? Have you hit any major pot holes or anything that could have damaged something? How many miles on your car? Does it happen more or louder when you're driving faster or slower? Are you pushing the brake when it's happening? Honestly my guess is some kind of busing is worn out but it might depend more on the squeaking noise, I've heard of "groaning" noises when a wheel bearing is on its way out but not squeaking. |

It's going on probably since 10-15 days. Haven't hit anything hard really. I only notice when I go very slow during extreme cornering. Brake is not applied when I hear the squeaking sound |

does it happen when you are turning the wheel left? or will it do the noise if you just hold the wheel turned left and continue? Presume it doesn't happen if you are parked abd simply turn the wheel to left correct? |

Yes, it doesn't happen while parked. After doing some google search I thought it might be caused by lack of steering fluid but I realized X1 has electronic steering. So I am guessing it is a mechanical issue |
