Too bad about Volvo pulling out of the wagon market. I would have liked to check out the V60. Maybe Saab will send over the 9-5 SportCombi. Hopefully the CTS wagon brings attention to the category and generates interest.

This thread reminds me of the time when Volvo decided to base their race car (DTM or some other euro race) on the wagon model because it had better weight distribution and performance than the sedan.

My '05 Legacy GT wagon (5sp Manual) Cobb stage 2+, would run circles around a lot of "sport" cars.

I can decide if you are stating this as a bad or good thing?

I do know Subaru along with a lot of other rally cats started going towards wagon models instead of sedans for various race reasons.

Thats ok. You can run circles around my touring all day if you want but at the end of it all your JAPANESE wagon is still just a JAP car.

1) And that matters, why?

2) That's more than a tad racist. Jeez, man.

It does look that way but all the C63s I've seen in person look fine so maybe it's the angle?

It wasnt my intention to jump in this thread and be racist toward any one or any vehicle, but for some one to just get upset and fire off a coment about how there stage+ whatever will run circles around another vehicle is off out of line considering the OP was about not bringing the new touring to the states.

A4 Avant to a 328xi Wagon

After owning 2 Audi Avants, I just took delivery of a BMW Sports Wagon. My outgoing Audi, a 2008 2.0T S-Line (APR chipped for almost 300hp) was an amazing car. Last of the MT Avants available in the US. It's a real shame Audi USA stopped offering them. I wasn't going to own any AT car, DSG or no DSG.

The new car is a Black on Black 328xi with the M-Sport package, nav, etc. Looks and drives great. It's a little strange driving a non-turbo, and the BMW interior isn't quite as nice as the Audi, but after 3 days I'm growing into it.

If they offered a 335xi wagon I would have bought one for sure.

Since you were too dense to figure it out, that was not directed at the OP, but at the "Wagons are for fruitcakes," comments.

That's fine and all, but calling ANYTHING Japanese a "jap" anything is racist. Are Ferraris "wop" cars? Exactly. "Jap" isn't a nickname for Japanese, it's a racist, derogatory term like "wetback", "spic", or any other you can think of.

I love wagons, my gf not so much. they immediately get a title of an 'old people's car'.

I would totally jump onto a 335 wagon/ an S4 or a 5er wagon. The other day I saw a W211 E55 wagon on the highway and almost had an accident .

As it stands though, 'mericans are big people and big peole dont like small wagons.

Looks like I will have to settle for the Cayenne S. At least it is ~1000lbs lighter than the X5!
