X1 F48 Front windscreen washers - is there a check valve?

Hi

Our '21 model year X1 seems to have a problem with the front washers.

On first use after standing for a while, you have to hold the washer on for a few seconds before the fluid comes out. When it does come out all three jets operate normally.

The rear screen washer is working correctly.

Do these care have a separate check valve or is it built into the jets or the pump?

Many thanks

John

Further investigation shows the check valves are built into the 3 jets

I've now take an close look at the jets and I can see and hear that the left hand jet is to blame.

Trouble is that it seems to be part of a single assembly, combining the fluid pipe and the wiring for the heaters.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

John
