I have heard rumours that the 20i petrol engine is to be discontinued in May anyone heard anything?

Given that diesel is in the dog house politically I would be surprised. M-B have just introduced a 2 litre petrol GLC and I understand the new X3 comes with a 2 litre petrol option.
It may be the power output may be standardised across the globe ie updating this to 224bhp.
