25d ticking noise

Anyone with the 25d ever hear a ticking noise when accelerating hard, could be normal but now sure, still getting used to the car, only tend to hear it with the window down, it’s definitely engine speed related as it goes away as soon as you lift of the gas, so it’s not wind noise

Hi!
I am having the 20d engine and when I am around 130 km/h and I press the pedal to the floor I feel like a ticking in the pedal.
Is the same for you?

I have the 25d and have exactly the same noise, I think it's coming from the turbo, I mentioned to the dealer and no surprises they said it's normal, I'm not convinced, personally I think this engine is possible one of the worst engines BMW have ever produced.
Its noisy and thirsty and plagued with egr problems

25d is, yes. 20d is much better. You can turn off the EGR if you want to.
