Mine was checked yesterday. Dealer said there was no need to remove instrument panel ( I was told they would use an endoscope/boroscope to check).
Coding data was upgraded. Was told this was a firmware update. All went well so no complaints. |

Not to my knowledge. I asked advisor whar exactly had been done but he said he didn't have the details.

If you have the coding software and cable you can check the installed software version. Mine was updated recently by the dealer, and I had to re-code the options I had set after getting a more recent copy of the software. I'm not sure if there's a way to check the version through iDrive though...
