First of all, you forgot about the Z4. Second, you do have a point, but your post makes very little sense. You lump together series, models, body styles and options together.

Well, it doesn't take a genius to figure out why. F31 is offered with one engine only and for some reason it has a weird price point in the US.
Starting prices in the US,
328iAT - $41,950
X1 x28i - $33,000
X3 x28i - $40,600

In Germany however,

328iAT - 42,450 EUR
X1 x28i - 43,250 EUR
X3 x28i - 48,300 EUR

It is no surprise that X1 and X3 outsells Touring in the US.

As you will see very soon.
Is it correct that the next X2 goes under the F39 development code?

A while ago, in another thread, I asked you about the F05, but got no reply. Since you are active in this thread, can you talk what type of a project it was? This site claimed that [this was an F05](http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=165576), but it is obviously an F07.

Will be interesting to see. I kind of like the current-gen X6 more than the last-gen so interested to see what the X2 would look like. Everyone complains about BMW coming out with these derivative models (even though we know why). Why do other marques follow? That alone is an accomplishment to BMW, they understand what they need to do to remain independent and successful, so it's telling when other manufacturers who have other subsidiaries and backing also come out with their own model to compete with BMW.

The market is hot for these vehicles and that means huge profits.
You cannot single out BMW for criticism and then shower praise on someone who is doing the exact same thing.
But Porsche also developed GT3 RS and 918...

I see, personally from just the side view I think it looks pretty good, the even numbered X models have grown on me.. Although I still prefer the X5. But that's cause Iv had one before so I'm biased

I don't know but I never liked any GT model, but I like the X6 though...
Yes if we take the 3er GT it sells exceptionally well in Europe and Asia exceeding its 10% of total 3er units. Again 3er GT is a low volume niche model but very profitable because of its ability to be developed from the existing matrix.
The 4er Gran Coupe is also another example of this philosophy.
Both are very profitable and boost overall 3er/4er combined sales.

The X4 like the X6 is also a niche model that is low volume and is proving to be a force on the market especially in markets where customers cannot financially meet the cost of an X6. As a low volume model X6 E71 sold over 260,000 units in its lifecycle.
Great then I expect to see a 228i GC, m235i GC and M2 GC...

Thank you! My exact thoughts on why the wagons sell. They offer us beg limited options or options we don't want all together and don't price it reasonably in the range and wonder why it doesn't sell. Same thing with e46 wagon, I loved it but didn't want it in the 325i only 330i and with ZHP package but we didn't get that did we.

No the eDrive will be the same drivetrain that will be featured on the imminent BMW 223e Active Tourer.
At the IAA, an X1 eDrive pre-production concept will be shown. A similar option will be offered on the new MINI Clubman and next Countryman.
The M Performance model will use a four cylinder developed to give over 300PS but will be available with xDrive only.
Excited about m performance X1

I see lot of harsh words on models that's doing great in Europe.
The 3Gt for instance, we have alot of those in Norway.
I remember AMS put all 8 models based of the 3 up against each other, the 3Gt won.
Looking at the render of the next 5Gt, it looks great.
All these models have a life and salesnumber to justify it's excistense imo.
The X2 will be w welcome addition to that.
But scott, the e223 version, will it feature the B38, an engine i really fell in love with in the 2AT.

It sure doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out, but apparently one has to have an intelligence level well above the average Bimmer poster for sure.

I'm waiting for an M2 Grand coupe.... An M2 CSL, a lot of people on this board would love to see an all out sports car like an M8, and while reactions were mixed on the CSL homage ... A car like this could be as good for the brand as the z8 and i8.. Not to mention, there is a historically significant model ......M1.... Would be nice to see something compete with the Ford GT

So ... Shut up and dont worry your sweet pattotie about BMW creating new models !

Every one that you don't like, don't buy!! But sure as hell if other people do, then we got a lot more chance at getting cars like I listed above and more !

It looks better and provide the same practical features!
They are very different in the interior as well as driving positions.
The current 5GT has a model code of F07 which suggest it is the same playform as the 7-series (F0x) and not the 5-series which have model codes F1x.
This shows in the interior, which more looks like the 7 than the 5...
But it comes with a 5-series price tag...

X2, X4, X6, and 3er GT...when they aren't right next to one another, it sure is hard to tell them apart. I don't know if that's intentional or not. I also don't have an opinion about it other than just the observation itself.

All the best.

Looks good Scott. We would prefer to replace our CRV with a full electric iSAV with REx, but a hybrid might have to tie us over until BMW decides to make one. Not even 60 days into our ownership of a loaded 2015 i3 REx and we are done with ICE. Hybrid even with only ~20 miles electric only range would still work actually but would prefer full electric. Its nice to live ~4 miles from work, could still technically drive all week too and from work gas free theoretically (depending on how the hybrid system works).
