does anyone have any insight on how to change the blinker interval from 3 to 5? most said it wasn't possible after MY 2016 build date, but some said it could still be done.

I have a 2017 build, 2018 model X1

On mine you can go thru the Idrive vehicles settings. I actually like the 3 blinker intervals. Mine is a 11/17 build 2018 model.

I finally got my X1 back from the body shop. Installed the euro headlight switch with rear fogs. Coded the car now I'm having issues with the front fog lights not turning on and the rear fogs still do not work. Any ideas?

Update. I had to code back to the original settings. So now the front fog lights work.

Today, I did a coding session with Bimmercode to modify the settings (BULB -> LED) and put all the controls cold and warm on inactive.

I then changed all the halogen bulbs for LEDs:
Front = turn signals=BAU15S and fog lights=H8 (daylights / lowbeams / highbeams are already LED)
Rear = turn signals, brake lights, fog lights and reversing lights (all BA15S).

Everything works without any error code or blinking.

And what a look with the LEDs ...

I'm trying to turn on the front turn signals next to the headlights. I've looked for the following below. But I can not find sidemarker under 3063. Any ideas?

Turn off Amber Side Markers next to Headlight:
3063  MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_L_OUTPUT set to: OFF
3063  MAPPING_SIDEMARKER_R_OUTPUT set to: OFF

Try to put "ON" instead of "OFF" on the two 3063 lines...

Hey mate - can you recommend an OBD adapter? Did you use the WiFi or BT?

I have a WiFi Vgate iCar Pro. What phone or device are you going to use?

Did anyone have any luck getting the indicator blink over 3? 5 doesn't work in the simple bit, but I tried also in expert mode and had no luck.

Alrighty, so a little update on the 5 blink indicator. Using the latest bimmercode, I set the tippblinken to 5 in the simple mode as I mentioned in my previous post. That by itself didn't work, and the indicator would only go 3 times. The option in iDrive was also 1 or 3 clicks, no option to select 5.

On my 2018 October production X1, additionally, I needed to go into expert mode in bimmercode, in the Headunit (HU_NBT_EVO) ECU, and then into 3000 HMI. In there, you want "5_FACH_TIPPBLINKEN". This option needs to be set to Aktiv.

This enables the 5 blink option in iDrive. I set the 5 blinks in iDrive and can confirm it works

I figured out something else, if anyone is interested. I use eco pro a fair bit, and it always annoyed me that switching to it switches on Auto-Stop-Start. In Bimmercode, changing the ASS to not start with ECO PRO in simple mode wasn't enough - sometimes the car would still switch on with ASS on (sometimes not), but crucially switching to ECO PRO from another mode turned ASS on if it was off.

As well as the simple settings, you need to go into expert mode.

I went into BDC_01 Body Domain Controller and then 3023 TCMaster2. I then changed TCM_MSA_ECO_MODE to nicht_activ... and that seems to have done the trick.

Behaviour now:
1. ECO PRO starts with ASS off
2. Switching to ECO PRO from comfort/sport leaves ASS off.

I'm just in the process of doing that.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...9s4/edit#gid=0 << see here. If you can get to the KOMBI ECU on your version of bimmercode, then great. If not then you need the cable.

I have the black instrument panel so I don't think it's compatible with this version of bimmercode.

Pleasure

On the HUD enablement for indicators, the black instrument panel is not currently supported in bimmercode. I've spoken to the developer and he says it's a work in progress. Hopefully soon. In the meantime, going to try e-sys.

Hello everyone.
Just purchased 2018 X1 and looking into coding and diagnostics.

I have an E90 LCI and got myself the Bimmergeeks Protool Android app and their bluetooth OBDII adapter.
Helped me so much in diagnosing a misfire, retrofit folding mirrors, and retrofitting heated steering wheel (reset angle sensor and DSC).

It looks like Bimmercode app only does coding and no diagnostics?
If so, is there any other options out there that allow diagnostics and coding without hauling a laptop and installing drivers etc. (keep it simple through an Android app)?

Thanks in advance.

Is coding Sport + a thing on the F48 using Bimmercode? I've been told by a local shop that I could code Sport + on mine. I see Bimmer-tech offers sport + coding.

I gave up but didn't try very hard. As I understand it's just Sport Mode + Traction Control Off, which I'm happy enough doing manually if I ever need it.
