Style 73 wheels on 2006 330xi: Will they fit?
I can pick up a set of pretty fresh looking style 73s with tires for $200. I'd be using these with snow tires only in the winter... and they're narrower so i could run little narrower snow tire...like 205.
They are 17x7 et47. The current wheels are style 158 (17x8 et34) Based on the calculator it looks like these will be the same on the strut side but will poke in about 26mm on the fender side compared to the wheels that are currently installed. has anyone run these on a 2006 330xi without spacers? if so... does it look really goofy to have the wheels recessed in so far (an inch more than OEM) Is anyone running these with spacers? If so what size and brand? It looks like i'd be looking at 25mm spacers to get back to the stock appearance... but at that price it seems wise to simply buy wheels that fit. What do you all think? I've been looking for wheels for a while. Both of my sets are pretty bent. My mom's e46 325xi sport wagon has style 73 wheels and i've always liked them. Now i've found a decent set in good condition and i'm having some doubts about whether they'll fit on the 2006 330xi. my mom lives on the other side of the state (PA) or i'd just try them on... just looking for some experience before I take the time to meet up this fellow. I'd hate to waste his time and mine if someone has already been down this road. Thanks, Todd
