Question help: E90 318i engine noise

I recently bought a 2011 E90 318i with a 1 year warranty from a dealer and although it was supposed to be "perfect", the problems immediately started. It has misfires and they found a faulty NOx sensor, so that will be changed next week.

It has no fault codes but when I try to accelerate from 1000 rpm at a bit too high a gear, it struggles and might throw a blinking engine light. I believe these are the misfires and hopefully the NOx change and potential spark plug changes will fix it.

However, I don't trust the dealers and their garage anymore. I would like to get an opinion on the state of the car so I can demand they fix everything. Here is a video of the engine bay:

Obviously I don't have experience and any help is greatly appreciated!

What is the whining sound? Does the engine sound funny (knock?)? Is the belt pulley on the bottom right which doesn't rotate supposed to be like that? What is the deal with that metal pipe on the left?

Many thanks!
