For the second row I wanted the liners to cover the hump so I went with SMARTLINER (found on amazon).
Before After

The license plate had been screwed to the rear bumper not using the top holes...
So I got a Silicone Rubber License Plate Frame Holder from Amazon Before After

That rear plate mounting makes us angry.
I will have to look into the smartliner for the rear. I do not like my separate weather techs |

Look into the Tuxmat line. I had them for my X3 and they offer excellent protection as they wrap up the sides of the hump and the footwells.

I like it more on the second row, for the front row one has to use the clips they provide so it doesn't slide. Might not be the case on the X2 though. Over the years on several vehicles I've had Husky Liners, WeatherTech, OEM, MaxLiner, TuxMat and now SmartLiner. On this case SmartLiner goes up to the sides much more than OEM on the front. The material is more plastic than the OEM liners which feel more rubbery. Will see how they look as they age.

The Tuxmats for the X2 are great, I'm on my third winter now with them
https://f48.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1673884 In fact, the hold-down clip on mine just broke (not by me!) and Tuxmat is mailing me a replacement today. Very satisfied with the product and the support. BTW the design has changed and they don't need the same clip now. |
